The term ‘Holistic’ comes from the Greek word “holos” meaning whole.
Holistic health practices encompass the complete system of mind, body, and spirit. Balance is the key in these elements.
A basic premise of holistic health is that the body is capable of healing itself and holistic practices remind us how to do that.
Holistic Health is not affiliated with any particular religious practice. It is a way of life.
My experience as a counsellor and a teacher allowed me to recognize sufficient interest in holistic health from students and parents and to determine a need to develop a program that is both proactive and readily available.
In this stressful world we live in, helping students to develop the skills to relax and unwind will equip and enable them to face the strains of life ahead, be it personal or professional. Start with one child and its mind boggling to ponder the endless possibilities. This will impact the future.
